installation guidelines

The hardest part of this installation is getting the old protective insert out. To release the tabs is kind of difficult, especially on the back side. The instructions were all pictures, but they say a picture is worth a thousands words. It would have been nice to have some words to know where you were working. I finally went to youtube to see how to replace the insert. That was great, and a whole lot better that the instructions. I did have one problem. The tab to line up the insert was on the left edge, and the hole to line it up with was on the top of the metal, so I just had to drill another hole. My Jeep is 2011 Sport, and I believe it is a yj. But I did get it in with just a little work and it looks great. Worth the money if you want to lock you gas cap.
